My Story

Rooted in the earth,
made for you

Bon Air Botanicals was born from a personal calling to return to the land — and to share that healing with the community.

Norah Hazelgrove, founder
From Norah

Hello friends,

My name is Norah Hazelgrove, and Bon Air Botanicals is a labor of love I started in 2025 to bridge ancestral wisdom with modern wellness. Every product I make is ethically produced, Virginia-grown, and sustainably sourced — formulated with regenerative ingredients and packaged with the earth in mind, so what nourishes your body also nourishes the soil it came from.

This business was born from a personal calling to return to the land. For the past 15 years, my professional work in the corporate world has centered on building things that hold up: systems that remove friction instead of adding it, teams that genuinely support people, communication that's honest and clear. It turns out to be exactly the kind of preparation herbalism calls for.

The same attentiveness I bring to solving problems for people, I bring to a batch of calendula salve or a jar of elderberry syrup — noticing what's needed, working with patience instead of rushing the process, and trusting that the right care applied consistently is what actually makes something work.

Alongside that work, I've spent those same years teaching yoga and meditation in studios and spaces across Virginia — a practice that goes back even further, and one that's been quietly shaping this path all along. That practice deepened into a study of herbalism six years ago, and the two have been intertwined ever since.

My herbalism practice is grounded in the Vitalist tradition, drawing on Folk, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ayurvedic practices to bring the same steady, embodied approach I learned on the mat into every formulation I make. Each product — topical or systemic — is hand-crafted in small batches, using what grows in my own garden or comes from trusted regenerative farms nearby. None of this happens in isolation, though; it's guided by a set of values I hold just as closely as the recipes themselves.

Environmental integrity and human health guide every decision here, from ethical sourcing to organic, small-batch formulation. This craft is approached with deep respect and intentionality, honoring the centuries of healers and medicine makers who came before. At its heart, Bon Air Botanicals is a reflection of something larger than myself — a vast, interconnected ecosystem that gives me the chance, every day, to learn from nature and give something back to it.

Peace and good health to you,
Norah Hazelgrove
